I ordered 9/18 and received my car 12/18. The MyBMW website was updated frequently, about as regularly as BMW Genius. I had mixed results with Genius, depended a lot on the person answering the phone. Sometimes good, sometimes no clue. After a while, I just went with MyBMW, and watched the ship on the boat tracking website. Genius is helpful if you get "stuck" somewhere (my production date changed on MyBMW, and they confired it on Genius, but could not tell why). You also need to call Genius to find out what boat you are on (a few days after it is on a boat).

I just tried the BMW Genius line and they informed me they no longer provide tracking updates and sent me to the automated line.
Up until now they were always able to provide updates. Anyone else have this experience recently? |

Yes, same here. Once you get to the automated line, say Vehicle Production Status. After it tells you the status, and then when prompted, say Customer Relations. The rep can and will give you info. When my status on MyBMW was In Transit, the rep was able to tell me the ship was Olympian Highway and when she left. So while it's still true that the dealer seems to be best shot, you can get answers from the 'new' automated line.

My M550's status just went backwards
The past 3 weeks it's been "In Transit" since it left Bremerhaven. Came on WW ship and landed on Saturday in NYC port... The next step was "At Dealership". Today I checked and it says "At The Port" which is a step backwards. I talked to my SA yesterday and he confirmed it arrived in NYC and it's scheduled to be to the dealer later this week. Anyone else ever have this happen, seems odd it go backwards?? edit: tried a different search terms and found this - so I guess it happens to others. https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1514303 |

Any 2020 orders in?
I got my production number on 8/5 and I'm in the "Scheduled for Production" stage, but no idea what the build week is or how long I'll be in this stage. I'm waiting on a 2020 530e XDrive. |

Also, the plant is down for August for vacation, though I'm not sure anyone on the forums knows exactly when production will resume. So, expect your build date is sometime in September. I ordered mine on July 8th, had a production date of July 23rd, and that was right on track but still have not received mine yet. It sat on the dock in Bremerhaven for almost two week and the boat from there to Balitmore has hit every port in Europe it seems. |

Just a note to anyone tracking their vehicle: My M5 sat on the docks at Bremerhaven for over 2 weeks waiting for a boat. After finally getting started, it stopped in Belgium, Southampton, UK and somewhere in Spain before starting to Baltimore. Travel time from Spain to Baltimore is supposed 10 full days. Total time from the date I had a boat to arriving in Baltimore is 16 days.

So it is possible the plant is open for some of August. Maybe the last week? Will update whenever I move into Production. |

WW Cargo ID Tracking Removed
Just an FYI to anyone new (like me) coming in trying to track their car in transit. WW has removed cargo id searches and doesn't appear to be possible anymore.

Would this be a good deal?
Hi guys, I've been a long time user of Bimmerpost, coming on almost everyday for the past three years to check on what's new and for any advice.
However, I never had an account until finally today because I need everyone's help on if this would be a good deal. Also, I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but here it is. 2021 BMW M550i MSRP: $97,125 $5,000 Down Payment $7,000 off the MSRP (Looks like 7.2% off) 12,000 miles / 36 months Monthly Payment with tax is $1,069 Would this be a good deal? Thanks for any help, it would be much appreciated. Last edited by StarrySky; 11-17-2020 at 07:30 PM.. |

My 540i has been sitting at "Awaiting Carrier Assignment for 6 days since last Thursday. All the threads show that is a quick one day step. Anyone else currently tracking have that issue??

Finally discharged from the Factory on the way to the Port. I have heard in threads of cars waiting at the port for more than two weeks recently and I wonder if they are controlling that issue by keeping the cars at the factory longer to ease the port congestion. Makes sense.

2022 M550 Order Attempt
Trying to place order for next M550 build. Having issues getting slotted from two dealers that I use for past 14 cars.
I', at month 32/36 of '19 M550i. They will buy me out and give me cash back but not able to give me order #. That's not of use to me. Anyone else having issues? Thanks |
