265/35 will not work with 285/35, it's too much of a difference in height.
The 265/35 will fit perfectly, it can be paired with a 275/35 which is perfectly good for 10" wheels and I'd recommend this setup. 295/30 would have a good height to pair with 265/35 but would not fit with your offset of 30 and a 285/30 is also too short to pair with 265/35 even though it would fit. Another alternative is 275/30 front and 285/30 rear which should fit although it'd be aggressive in the front. |

It is indeed a good idea to avoid significant diameter difference between front and rear for the Xdrive clutch, even if the DSC calculator can identify circumference differences and adapt.
Here you go with safe tire sizes: 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 (stock) and that is -0.96% for rear axle 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 (Alpina tourer stock) and that is -1.09% for rear axle 255/35/20 and 295/30/20 (Alpina sedan stock) and that is -0.22% for rear axle Notes: 265/35/20 and 295/30/20 (suggested by Superjackason) means -1.23% for rear axle 265/35/20 and 285/35/20 means +2.02% for rear axle (don't do that) Cheers

Dinan recommends 265/35/20 and 295/30/20 on their 9et28 and 10et43 rims.

I've ordered Alpina wheels (8.5x20 front and 10x20 rear). The site suggested the tires to go with it - for some reason stock size - 245/35R20 and 275/30R20. I haven't checked standard Alpina tire sizes until it was too late. So now I'm wondering if the setup of wheels and tires I got is safe to run on xDrive. Car to put it on is 2023 M550i xDrive. Wouldn't wider wheel size result in lower tire height?
