Hello everyone,

I have 2018 BMW G30 530i that is tuned to Stage 1 93 octain from BM3. 24k KM driven.

For the past 8-9 months i’ve been having an issue where as no matter of the gear or speed, as long as my RPM is between 1100-1200 the car feels under load/pressure and slightly vibrates any above RPM is totally fine.

Now to add towards that, when the car is stationary, and you slightly touch accelerator to disable auto hold in traffic for car to slowly start moving forward the RPM will naturally got slightly high, however when it falls back down to idle (approx 800) the car slightly shakes and give a feels that it ignition was about to be turned off ( i always disable auto start stop as soon as i sit in the car)

I took it to dealership, they ran the reports on full car and no codes nor issues were detected, i specifically asked to to check spark plugs because have been reading online that this can be the issue however it came out good as well ( although not fully convinced if they checked all of them)

Took the logs and shared it with BM3 as well and from their end they also said everything is fine.

However, i know how BMW drives and it should not behave like above

I think I have a similar issue.... I never really looked at the rpms but it vibrates in the footwell a bit in the 40 to 60 mph range. This actually only started after I hit a pothole. So I am thinking I bent something underneath that is either touching the calipers or engine bay area.

I doubt, because if something was bent or broken it will give you much more signs, given that it is at specific speed might be something similar to mine.

Try to note RPM next time it might be something for all G30 owners

Hi, any update about the issue?
Btw, what is the idle rpm level for G30 530i? 700, 750..? Is it supposed to be constant every time?

I realized that sometimes the idle stays at 750 sometimes at 700.
When it is 700, the car is vibrating either at stop or during taking off and the rpm gauge fluctuates for an instant when I release the brake.
Any ideas?
