Euro work with no problems and without messages. US can be coded but they don't work 100%, Welcome lights don't work, and sometimes turn signals fails (very occasionally) on my F90 were installed US tail lights and since I retrofitted whole front as well I really wanted welcome lights to work.
The difference is only on trunk (inner lights) US specs light has 1 pin which control 2 zones lower and upper (turn and brake signals) , EURO have 2 separate pins. So I tool light a part and figure that there is 1 wire can be cut and connected to turn indicator (wire that you run from module) that make it work 100% as Euro spec and without errors.
Sorry can not tell what wire needs to be cut since they all green, but the good news is that wire is one if the longest and can be pulled without taking light a part. I have 2 more cars to do next week, and will make few pictures.
just wondering if you would know the steps to code the already LCI cars from US to Euro just for the turn signal?

Smile Which Bimmercoder OBD Adapter did you use to code?

BL_L_CCM: ccm_346 [01 5A]
BL_L_IS_LED: nicht_aktiv, default [00]
BL_L_MIN_PWM: 5% [05]
BL_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG: nicht_aktiv [00]
BL_R_CCM: ccm_345 [01 59]
BL_R_IS_LED: nicht_aktiv, default [00]
BL_R_MIN_PWM: 5% [05]
BL_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG: nicht_aktiv [00]

That is it!
Which Bimmercoder OBD Adapter did you use to code?
With the OBD Adapter will I be able to plug into car and code your codes above immediately?

I have a USA 540i 2018 BMW, with LED LCI Lights from Europe. Been driving with error on blinkers. Shows error on my dashboard.

Do you still need to run a new wire from the lights back to the fuse panel to get the LCI lights to work w/o errors? I have seen that mentioned in several posts.

If you get the euro spec ones, yes.

For Euro lights, you have three options:

1
Run a wire from the BDC module to Pin 4 inner

2
Run a jumper wire from Pin 4 inner to Pin 1 Outer (splice in as it is occupied).

3
IF you have a rear fog light wire (you would have five wires on the inner), you could move this at the BDC and move it to Pin 4 Inner.

I went with option 2 jumper cable. Works just fine and no need to tear car apart to get to the BDC.

Yup, most people do. It's path of the least resistance and you stay 100% in the trunk. I went with option 1, but that's because my installer preferred to "do it right". Their words not mine. They only charged me $300 for the entire install. It was worth it to me. I have no problem with wiring, but I didn't feel like ripping apart my trunk and breaking clips.

There are plenty of pics out there, including some of mine of how the connectors should look after repinning.

Is it normal for the lights to have dots on the outer lights? By dots I mean like a tiny indent in the lense like melted by a soldering iron?

Yep, I thought the same thing when I received mine. Confirmed, but post a pic so I know I am answering the right question.
