Anyone remove and reapply badges with existing 3M Tape?

Hey guys,

I affixed something with 3M automotive tape and it's off just a bit and it is bugging the crap out of me.

I can most likely get some dental floss under half of it and move it a fraction. My question is, will it stick the same?

This is one of those things that bugs the crap out of me, but from experience, when I don't leave well enough alone, more often than not things go south.

Thanks.

I know the feeling. You're better off removing it, taking off the tape, and reapply with new 3M. If you're anything like me, don't take short cuts because it will drive you crazy.

Your chances of getting the tape off intact are very low, and if you do it probably won't stick well enough to be permanent the second time. Use new tape.

I actually got them off intact. Probably because it was only one day on the car. All good.

I believe this post was in regards to the M side badges. Ironically besides being off a tad, I put the wrong ones on. I bought the chrome ones instead of cerium gray. Someone pointed it out and then all bets were off. I he didn't tell me I would have never known, but he did. I got them off clean and returned them and out on the correct ones.
