Color for BMW Brake Calipers
Hi, I'm looking for paint for my M brakes.
I found these two variants :Number 2162 and number 2196 (From picture) Which is better for M brakes? |

2162 imho is closest to the M Sport calipers on the G30, if that's what you're asking.

I don't know why there are different shades of blue in those photos, and it's the same code
Look on this 2 photos First is Code 2162 second is 2196 According to these photos is closer to code 2196 or? I am confused |

The 2196 is metallic and has that flake detail. The other one is just glossy flat blue.

Colour code B45, called estoril blue II. It's insanely close to actual M caliper colour (which only has a internal BMW colour).
To save a few extra quid and convenience, estoril blue II is available off the shelf; Hycote brand and Halfords own label (UK) Only £7. It blends in extremely well with existing colour. See my calipers below. Im just a guy with a bin bag and a roll of masking tape. Only thing I'd painted before this were the walls in my house. Last edited by mittu; 01-19-2022 at 08:09 PM.. |
