VS forged?

Hi everyone

I'm doing my research to change to 20" wheels;
I'm looking for light wheels, associating form and function in a way.

The OEM offer is limited and expensive with only the 669M;

I've come across some forged wheel options that are in a similar price range, the VS Forged line up http://www.vsforged.com, more specifically the VS10 design is appealing to me for a 5 series ; we're talking about ~$3000/set while BBS or HRE forged would be more like $6-8000 / set.

There is precious few reviews on these wheels, none of them negative, but many comments doubting that these wheels are throughly tested (and indeed these are not TUV or ABE tested)

I've come across a couple of BMWs with these wheels though:

a number of corvettes as well...

My other options would be BBS CI-R wheels but I don't think they offer sets with the appropriate center bore or the offsets I want, so that involves adapters and I don't want that (nor do french road regulations allow for this).

Well anyway my question is, while people are casting doubt over the quality, I'm not sure these are substantiated, and that it would be any different to a cast wheel, even from a reputable brand like BBS...

What do you think?

Even though the wheels are most likely made in china, I'm sure the quality isn't too bad. They should have at least tested the wheels in computer simulations to ensure better durability than most cast wheels that aren't super beefy and heavy.
However, 3k for a set is overpriced for what they are. From china, I've bought quite a few sets of custom forged wheels for my racing cars for around half of that price and I got to demand every small detail in design for weight saving and clearing my big brake kit with the exact offset I wanted.
If you are looking to drop around 4k, you could get a great set of mold forged rays or advan which will keep their resale value almost completely if it is a common size between models which is quite easy since bmw and audi like to use almost the same sizes now.

Thanks! Do you have a contact where you got your wheels from in China?

I'm curious too, if you don't mind sharing the info (and even some pictures of them on your race car would be Appreciated too ).

I had a set of custom forged rims made in China, due to arrive in January. I will reserve judgement untill I have them on the car but if they perform and weigh as expected I will be super pleased.
