Any idea how they decide what ship your car is on and the order in which it is loaded? Mine just arrived in Bremerhaven yesterday according to the website.

No idea. I know that in normal times it was 2 days at port waiting for a ship and then last I heard it was a week wait and now I'm pushing two weeks...

Ive been waiting for a carrier assignment since Sunday, I hope things start moving for everyone so we can have our cars. I did talk to BMW Genius yesterday and they said its about 2 weeks travel time once its on a carrier.

Ouch. I ordered mine a week after yours. It went into the production queue on Monday last week (10/18), but the week number I was given was for the week of 11/1. Needless to say it's status hasn't changed, not so I expect it to until next week.

Based on what I've read, and the fact that the Germans don't have thanksgiving, I was going I would recurrence by end of November… unless it misses the boat!

If yours is already done and you don't think you'll get until the end of November, then I'm not liking my chances any longer

Ahhhh. I just noticed you are in California. I'm east coast, so that should cut off a lot of transit time for me

Yes mine went into Prod Queue that same day and no status movement since. Also east coast delivery. Fingers crossed but I feel like I'm going to be getting a this a New Years present at this rate If I'm lucky.

Update for my car in Bremerhaven: I checked the BMW Recall tool as someone suggested and it said that my car was waiting for a receiver part (not sure what this is). I checked again today and the open item is closed. Hopefully I have a fully complete car that'll get on the next ship.

You might want to check this site. Until you take physical delivery it will not show up as a recall. It will be a "Stop Sale", which will not show up on the BMW recall site. (At least that is what I seen on my car).

When I checked earlier today on the recall tool my VIN wasn't listed. I now have a "Defect Code" of 0065600300.
