Do LCI's have these and has anyone looked into retro fitting?

Been in a G20 loaner all week and love these puddle welcome lights. Curious if these can be retro-fitted. I will get down on the ground before I return to see exactly where the light projector is, but curious if anyone looked into this?

Ok, I found out these are called "Carpet Lights" which is why google wasn't helping me. It does not look like LCI G30's have these and even if they did, the retro-fit is pretty involved.

My '22 M550 does not have those. There is a light in the bottom of the arm rest that lights up the ground after opening the door. Perfect to show that you are standing in a puddle. Lol

Oh yes, I am familiar with puddle lights. Put these in a few weeks ago:

Joe, did you get those from Amazon or somewhere else? Was replacing the existing lights with those as easy as it sounds?

No cheapo Amazon or eBay puddle lights for me. These are OEM BMW Projectors with the M-Performance Slides. Not cheap $$ but I like them. Your dealer or the online BMW stores sells them too. Installation is 5 minutes. Remove the existing and plug these in. Not tools requires other than a vinyl pry tool, but you could use a butter knife:

This is where I got each, cheapest prices you will find:

///M Performance Slides:

I kind of want to do the back doors too, but trying to use self-control. It's stupid money for a stupid thing.

Yeah, I prefer high quality OEM stuff but I am not sure these are worth $100 to me. Looks good though.

I totally get that! This is why I had my GF give them to me for Christmas. You could try the Chinese $15 knockoffs on eBay and Amazon. I tried them on my Maserati and they were decent.

Yeah...the carpet lights (E399 & E400) are different than the puddle (projector) lights. The BMW models that do have them...can actually have both. You can see the carpet lights and their location on an X7 in the pics below.

And here's some pics of the X7 that has both carpet lights and the puddle (projector) lights:

So based off of the pictures, it requires more than buying the right slide. Is it possible to retrofit?

No. When I posted this question I assumed the LCI had this. There is no wiring and I don't believe coding would be possible as it was never an option on the G30. It would not be a retrofit because it was never fitted.
