M Performance Floor Mats

Does anyone have any experience with the M Performance Floor Mats? How are they? Is there a significant difference over the stock floor mats? If you have any photos, that would be well appreciated.

I have them. I procrastinated for a while on whether to get them because they aren't cheap at $300 bucks and they would be replacing brand new factory mats, so this wasn't something I really "needed", but we know how that goes.

There are two model numbers for these out there and you may stumble upon the older model number for sale cheaper. Stay away from these as the M-Performance side lettering is a silk screen that wears off in record time. The newer ones are embroidered. Get these. In terms of quality, I would say the pile of the carpet is slightly denser than the OEM factory mats, but nothing off the charts and it may even be the same, but they feel more plush.

In the end, you are paying for bling, if you are happy with the quality of the factory mats, you will be happy with these. The last picture below is the silk screen ones you want to pass on.

Thanks for sharing! What is the part number for the newer version?

Thanks for the PN Joe! I've been reluctant to purchase these due to the fact that I might end up with the screen printed version.

You're welcome! Can't go wrong using this part number. I think BMW will warranty them for two years, but they are strict on receipts. You definitely want a dealer receipt.

I ditched my factory floormats in favor of the BMW floorliners. They don't say "M Performance," but they protect a helluva lot better than carpet. They look pretty nice too, IMO. I can post a pic if anyone's contemplating getting them.

I don't think so. Not OEM at least.

The M Performance mats are what I posted a few up. They are carpet mats with M bling. Not all season rubber.

Yea, I don't think they make rubber M performance mats.

These are the only all season specific to the 5 series I can find in OEM

I did find these on etsy, pretty sure these aren't OEM though and may look a little cheesy...

LOL! Those are not OEM and definitely would look cheesy. They do not make M-Perfrormance Winter Mats. You could buy weather tech and do what I did with the trunk liner.

I'm with you on that one but for ease of use and keeping the interior like new, they do the trick. I'm AD military, so one day I could be wearing dress uniforms and the next might be muddy boots. I like the ability to pull them out, spray 'em off, and reinstall in minutes. As with most mods/accessories, to each their own. Do what works for YOU! Thanks for the compliment, though.

I'm with you. They serve a purpose and aesthetics isn't one of them. All winter mats are ugly, but people need them to serve a purpose in protecting your carpet. I think all rubber winter mats look dirty and the mud, grime and salt sinks in over time and never comes back to that new rubber look even after washing them. I don't drive my M550 in the winter, so I don't have this need, but no one uses them because they look cool.

OEM all weather mats actually look pretty decent. But paying almost $200 for the set did hurt.

I agree, they look great new, once they get dirt and salt worn in, they never will look like that again. Not to mention, no one takes them out after every storm and cleans them, vacuuming and wiping is a Band-Aid, so you have to look at it all winter, but I agree, the BMW OEM winter mats are the way to go, even over weathertech which do not look nearly as good. BMW mats are in the same ball park money wise as WT.
