17" Wheels, 16" Spare?

I have 225/45-17" non runflat tires on my car at the moment. I have a set of 205/55-16" runflat tires on wheels in the basement. They are going back on the car at lease end. In a pinch, could I use one of the 205/55-16 tires as a spare? I plan to get a minispare soon but probably couldn't get one before leaving on a prolonged trip. I do have Conti kit in the trunk that I could use but I'm uncomfortable about being in the middle of nowhere with just the slime kit. Thanks for your comments.

Of course you can, dont waste your money on a spare tire kit...just bring along your oem 16" if you do a long road trip

Oh, remember to bring a jack...lol

Thanks. I'm lazy so I'll probably just call BMW Assist or the Auto Club to put the spare on.

That is more then fine. I would rather have the reassurance a spare wheel/tire rather then just a slime kit if my tire decides to fail.
