Back when RedBull was running Renault engines, they were using their own gas blend instead of what Renault recommended due to having different gas/oil sponsors. RedBull would complain about the lack of power and Renault would point the finger to them not using the right blend (among other excuses for not being up to par with the Ferrari and Mercedes engines).
I remember that,RB were shackled to using a specific Mobil? brand that wasn't quite up to it.

Why HUL never got his moment in the sun is summed in his battle with GRO. He has a faster car and faster tires but don't have the balls to pass him. RIC lit up the midfield while HUL can't pass a Haas!

....170 and hasn't been on the podium....no doubt that he has not had a package that would allow him to be competitive - it appears he does not have a seat next year, correct?

He has a better package than Haas and while we saw RIC taking chance, HUL didn't take any!

At the moment, he does not. He wanted the HAAS seat but didnt get it. Supposedly he wanted too high of a salary and that was a deal breaker. His only chances now are Alfa Romeo or Williams. Giovanazzi's seat is supported by Ferrari, so I doubt he will get that one. And Williams is resigned to pay drivers. Hulkenberg doesnt have any high paying sponsors that would help him get the seat and Nicholas Latiffi has a large financial backing by his father Sofina foods company. His chances of staying on the grid look bleak.

Let's not forget Hulkenberg won Le Mans a few years back. So while he may not have succeeded in F1, he does have an abundance of skill.

He gets a lot of flack from some people, but he also finished "best of the rest" in last year's standings (7th, behind the Ferrari, Mercedes and RedBull drivers) and consistently been in the top 10 in points over the last few years.

Seeing the tractor on-track brings back the horrific rememberance of the death of Jules Bianchi at Suzuka, when he went off-track and hit the tractor....at helmet height....I was thinking it would be beneficial to place a small, lightweight barrier with massive flashing lights on it on-track and behind the tractor during it's time on-track....it would only need to be a few feet long and would be carried by one or two people....this may be overkill but none of us will ever forget Bianchi's life-ending shunt when he slid off in the rain and hit the tractor,

Yeah he's a good driver we all know. But if you're fighting for a seat you better start taking chances so you can shine and show the teams that you still got it. Instead, he's stuck behind a Haas for the first third of the race.

Kudos to VET for leading on merit and not by bullying his way to the front....
