Anyone wanna post more videos on the sound difference? How is Bmw on cutting out the resonator if you're on a lease?

I would be prepared to pay to get it welded back into the system at the end of the lease. It should be a similar cost.

What was the cost for the resonator delete? Anyone have any thoughts on whether this will impact warranty on the car?

And a cold start video in comfort and sport plus.

It still sounds quite driving around normally in comfort mode. Then its sounds amazing when you hit the loud pedal in Sport mode. Best of both worlds in my opinion. It should have sounded like this from the factory.

Do you have pictures of what you cut off? The resonators?

No, I don't have any pictures. I cut them right before the first one and right after the second. Then the exhaust shop just put in two straight pieces to fill the gap. Sounds amazing and very cheap to do.

I've done the same resonator delete.

Service does not care if it's leased or not, and the resonators have nothing to do with the engine. The only warranty it can possibly affect is the exhaust warranty, but not concerned.

Once lease is up will weld the resonators back in and turn in the car.

Which shop in Montreal is that? Thanks

For you guys who did it,
Did they have to bend the pipes under the bracket where the resonators are? Shop that quoted me $530 said they'd have to drop entire system, bend their pipes and weld them. Just curious

I paid $230 in Nor Cal. It took about an hour, very simple and straight forward. No need to drop entire system. I would try a different shop.

That sounds perfect! How did you do the install exactly? Lift or did you jack one side, both sides etc.? Thanks!

Nice! Thank you got getting back to me, I think I will install it the same way. Attempted using ramps and a jack but just wasn’t enough room.
