G30 LCI - do we get remote start in the UK?
Has anybody taken delivery of an LCI G30 in the UK yet?
I have a 540i Touring on order (delivery mid October hopefully) and have seen that owners in the US get remote start via the My BMW app. I’d love to know if we will get the same ability in the UK? *Edit - I’ll ask the dealer at some point but I don’t get the impression that my contact would know. I read similar but have also read that other manufacturers have it as an option in the UK.
I’ve emailed the BMW Connected Drive team for an answer but they haven’t responded yet. |

For anyone else who may be interested, BMW have responded to me, and no - we don’t get remote start in the UK

Could be. Frustrating either way though - lots of other manufacturers offer it here, including Ford apparently.
This was all they said: “Thank for contacting BMW ConnectedDrive and congratulations on your new purchase. That’s correct! The “My BMW” app will include several remote features for you to use. Unfortunately, the remote start feature is not currently available in the UK, hence why you won’t be able to use this service. I hope this information has been of use, if there’s anything else I can help you with, please do get back in touch” |
