4 Continental OEM RFT 245/40/19 for sale

Picked up my 540i msport last Friday (with spare tire option) and would like to sell the oem tires, which are in perfect condition with @ 300 miles usage. German made, continental ProContact SSR. Asking $500.
Loving the 540i, feels lighter and more controlled agile than my prior 535i msport.

The spare option does utilize some trunk space, however, not much in my opinion. The fold down rear seats and comfort of knowing I have a spare vastly overcome the space issue.

It doesn't seem like the spare tire takes up much in the trunk. i ordered mine with spare tire option also, comes to port next week. I hate Run Flat Tires.

Is there any reason why you sold the run flats and switched over to the Michelin Pilot?

I will answer for him. Run Flats are the Worst Tires. I have them on my 535, They bubble, can't be repaired and your entire body jolts with every little bump you hit. Give me a Spare and Jack like the good old days. Nobody stocks them, call around to your bmw centers and get price difference of $75 to $100 for the same tire. BMW is so crooked with these tires, dealers are making a fortune on them. That is why he sold his run flats for regular tires.

I didn't look into that when I placed my order. My order will also come with run flats but a spare as well (I added the spare). I had assumed in 2017 run flats would be better. Looks like I would have to sell mines as well now.

Steve's post is correct, I went through @ 20 rft on my 2011 535. Thank god I then worked within walking distance of the dealer and had the 0 dollar deduct tire insurance policy.
Other than performance and reliability, the other determining factor is that I moved @ 1hr away from the dealer, and I don't want to hindered by tire hassles. However, to each their own.... enjoy your car.

I stuck with the 18inch rims because of winters and potholes where I live. I'd rather have a little more rubber and less frequent trips to tire store. I don't have the time for that. If you stick with the 18inch rim, you can change your order to Non Run flats and get the spare for free. that is what i did with my order.

Tell me about it! I'm actually a New Yorker and I don't miss those pot holes! Although NJ is better in terms of roads, not by much though. That's also the reason why I stuck with the 18 inch. Ride comfort is very important for me. I'll see how harsh the ride is. If I can bear it, I'll replace once the run flats wear off. Those Michelins are very tempting though! They have very good ratings! Especially not making any road noise is also a big factor for me.

Having the spare, you are already ahead of the game. If you are not leasing, you will have option down the road to ditch the run flats. If you are leasing, you are stuck with runflats unless you change your order before build. After 20 years of leasing, I decided to buy this one. If I change my mind on runflats, I can always put them on the car, but I will not change my mind. I had to many problems with them on my 535.

Size: 190.5 KBI am swapping sneakers on my 2021 M550i that I just picked up - Pirelli P zero 20" staggered(245/35ZR-20,275/30ZR-20). They have very little miles on them(<5k) but I wanted to go with the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus XL. I can take pictures and discuss price if anyone is interested - not even sure how much to ask as a fair price....
