I guess the new Kidney Grille design is not noticeable enough with its size, they have to make it glow just to make sure that people can see them

Hilarious...cue the resident insider to talk about how “iconic” these are...just like the 4 series that’s been around for about 2 minutes.

Honestly think the rings lighting up wouldn't be so bad. Out of the three it would probably look the best and the least cheesy.

Someone at BMWAG actually Ok'd this accessory. OMG!
This thing better illuminate and dance the LEDs while I'm driving! BMW bringing back 1990s motion neon. Can't wait to see the LCI oversized grill illuminated. Gonna have enough LEDs to illuminate the neighborhood.

When Merc lit up the tri star emblem I knew it was the end of sanity. Now bmw of course copies them. I also strongly hate the projector illumination of bmw emblems on new models, so so tacky.

I like blacked out kidney grills, but beyond that I try to keep a low profile. I've got Roundel puddle lights and they look great when adjusted to be the exact angle of the door.

Because with the upcoming push of electrification, this is going to be the only way to distinguish cars from one other is going to be these distinguishing features. Mercedes does it, Infiniti does it, Cadillac does it, Lincoln does it and a bunch of others do it. BMW is just hopping on the bandwagon.
