Hardware HAS changed. The LCI I saw at my local dealer only had a single KAFAS camera in the front windscreen, where my MY19 has two.

Yes. It seems like a big camera too! I have used it now for about 600 miles and it performs very well. Although, last night while driving on the Ohio Turnpike on a newly paved part with new lane markings, it did disable itself about 4 times in a 5 minute stretch. I am not sure what that was about, but other than that it has been very reliable and drives the car very smoothly and the change works really well too.

With the assistant plus package?

Did u ever get the lane assist to work on yours or did u just change car instead? Tried to pm u - apparently with no luck.

forgot which setting it was but if you disable or lower the sensitivity on lane keep assist (maybe) it stops the ping-ponging side to side. My car stays dead center in ideal marked lanes.

I don´t know which options the car had; I was just looking "out the back" at my local dealer, since there was no LCI´s in the showroom yet.

No, apparantly nothing can be retrofitted or coded on a BMW, so I bought another one with all the options I wanted (well, except for B&W, but you can´t have it all with our taxes). Well, I know that´s not true. But nobody could code/retrofit navigation, adaptive cruise, lane assist etc. here in Denmark or advise coding help. So I gave up.

It was to disable the intervention on the lane warning Too many interventions related to lane keeping.
