540 AC issues
My car is at the dealership for the third time in two years for AC issues (long story, it's not cooling the car down at all). For the third time in a row, my dealer says the "system was overcharged leading to high pressures - removed refrigerant and put the pressures back to spec and it works great now."
Well, fool me once and all that, but this seems odd given I haven't (nor has anyone) added any refrigerant to the system. After reading a few threads here, this seems to be a somewhat widespread issue (though mostly focused on V8 cars, which isn't my case). Has anyone else seen/had this issue? Any ideas on what would cause the system to be overcharged? Any questions to ask the dealer since they think they solved the issue (and I disagree)? |

I also had a 2017 540 that had A/C issues. The dealer performed a software update and removed some improperly placed foam from the center vents. Once this was completed, the A/C worked much better.

It has always been an issue of the 17's. I went to the dealer multiple times but they just kept saying it's working properly and I just eventually have up. If you guys can figure out a fix I'm all for it. Maybe look at how the 19's are done because that one was strong. I had it as a loaner and said to myself this is how the ac should work.
