Anyone having issues with the center console doors not closing?

I am talking about the 2 little center armrest doors. Ever since I've had the car, I practically have the slam one of the doors to close it. Obviously it must be mis-aligned in some way because I can hear the plastic hitting the plastic latch....

Anyone else had this issue?

YES. I actually recorded a video of it the other day. For me (LHD), it's the passenger door that takes basically Thor's hammer to close it.

I did fuss with it quite a bit, and if you open it, then push the two hooks in all the way a few times, you'll find it suddenly closes just as easily as the other side. It'll eventually happen again though. Definitely annoying to have to slam it so hard to close it.

Garage List
It might have defective latches. Mine hasn't been a problem, opens and closes nicely.

Mine has been fine.
Easy to open and easy to close.
Car is over a year old already.

I actually LOL'ed at your description....it's spot on. I really have to slam the thing. It worked fine for a few weeks but it's off again. If I remember correctly, I just put a lot of pressure/weight on the cover pushing towards the back of the car (and yes, mine is the passenger side too) and that's when it started to close easy for a few weeks. As I said, it's back to having to slam it. Guess I'll have the dealer fix it.

Take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. Of course if you're like me when you get to the dealer the problem will suddenly disappear. GL.
