Carbon Black M550...Ivory white or Tartufo interior
I'm about to place an order on a M550, and I'm struggling with whether to go Ivory White or Tartufo? Any thoughts from the group? Ivory white looks amazing to me...but I am concerned with the upkeep on such a light colored interior. Tartufo is nice as well, but I don't know how it will pair with Carbon Black. I've seen several pics of the Carbon Black and Ivory White and love the way it looks.
Anyone have pics of Carbon Black with Tartufo? Or pros/cons I should be considered when deciding between the 2 interior options? Thanks in advance.

I own a carbon black 520d MSport and love the black interior. The 520d came with Black Dakota Leather with Blue Contrast Stitching and Piping. I was being offered a 530d with an Ivory White interior but ultimately chose the carbon black 520d because the upkeep of an Ivory white interior would be really tough in my opinion.
Oh and if you can get the carbon fiber trim it really makes a difference over the standard walnut wood trim. Hope that helps |

The white is definitely going to need more upkeep... My dad owns a 2 series active tourer with a cream interior and that definitely needs more cleaning and care than darker interiors... The ivory interiors look stunning if well cared for though.

Ivory is worth the minor attention to keeping it clean, especially with a dark exterior car. One application a year of something like Gyeon Q² LeatherShield, helps protect it and have it require no more attention than any other color.

If you are a jeans guy, it will require more attention to keep clean for sure. I personally love light color leather and had silver stone in my F10 before and also have chalk in my 911. They look fantastic if you can at least clean them up once a month.

I've Med blue with ivory white and looks amazing. I've 2 kids under 5 so it does get dirty quick. If you can dedicate 15 mins a week it's not that bad to keep clean. Tartufo is nice but I'd personally prefer it with a lighter exterior.

if your willing to go individual with tartufo why not consider smoke white... i personally and color is SOOOOO personal would never do the ivory in my cars but saw smoke white in a 550 at my dealer and was pretty impressed works amazing withthte balance black trims and the increased black contrast piping works amazingly.... but again all personal choice... while i am a huge brown leather person, and my 911 has espresso leather which is stunning i am NOT a fan of most of bmw brown family leathers... I have had black nappa in all my carbon black cars and loved it but moving away from darks lately and if i were ordering a carbon black 550 smoke white would likely be in it.... shame we cant order the M5 seats in our non M cars because the way they combined a little more black leather and carbon trims in the M5 with smoke white is stunning.

Have also used the Gyeon Leather Cleaner for maintenance, but so far the coating seems to be working and helping with any jeans transfer coloring.

I've had my car with ivory interior for 13 months.
Wearing jeans most of the time - I have not used any cleaning products, no extra care at all and interior looks as good as day one.

I used to supplied block and cloth and it worked fine. Have only used on the seats. I also have the leather dash, but not sure what I will use for that if anything.
