What did you end up going with?
My 2020 is black sapphire w/ ivory white nappa interior. I ordered piano black trim because I thought it looked the best w/ this color combo. I would add the shadowline to your build as well as the driving asst pro. I have the massaging seats also and my passenger enjoys them on every drive. The 19" wheels are a good choice as I regret my 20" 668 wheels (they are too soft and I have now repaired bends from potholes 7x in 2 yrs). Red calipers would look great with black (they weren't offered in 2020 or I would have gotten them. Iven even considered having mine painted but the $1,000 price to do so didn't seem worth it). I don't see the park asst package in the 2022 configurator (I'm not sure if it's standard or dropped due to covid) but I like that feature. I also enjoy playing w/ the display key but I understand that was dropped due to covid also. |

DHP is a MUST for the 5er. I've had 2 F10s M-Sports (1x535 & 1x550) both with DHP. I drove versions of the vehicle on the lot without the DHP and its night and day. I've also driven the G30 a few years back (M550), with the DHP, and it seems BMW has done an even better job with the DHP in the current chassis. Almost eliminating body roll for a flat experience through high-speed turns (think sharp on/off ramps). It makes the car so much more enjoyable!

+1 on Nappa leather ... to me this is the lowest grade of leather that should be in X5 & 5er and up. Dakota is a joke for a car of this caliber and of this price tag, and just feels shitty. Even Vernasca feels better than the Dakota.
I have Vernasca in my Z4 because its the best you can get in that model, but far from what I would prefer. The G05 has Merino, and our G30 on-order (whenever that might get built at this point) also has Nappa. |
