what are the fan noises when opening doors on non-running vehicle?

I've noticed on my m550 that when it's parked in the garage, not running, and I open any of the doors there's a lot of fan/moving air noises that start.

Does anyone know exactly what is going on? it's not an offensive sound, I'm just curious

Do you unlock the car as your are opening the door (via comfort access)? The fuel pump primes when the car is unlocked and makes a brief whirring sound that could sound like a fan I suppose.

I don't unlock, but fuel pump priming sounds about right

Fuel pump. Mine got noticeably loud and was replaced under warranty.

Theres also a lot of servo noises opening and closing if you listen carefully.
The first time I heard all these noises from just opening the door, i was like WTF ?

wow those are two loud fuel pumps (i got 2 of these things)

So this is a normal thing I guess? Mine does it too

Normal, unless it starts screeching/whining loudly. That's when it is on its way out and should be replaced as soon as possible. Had mine do that once and was replaced under warranty after it failed...my car shuddered, knocked, and shut down immediately upon start up.

If it is screeching/whining, see my post above and fix ASAP. I believe it is the LPFP sitting by the fuel tank that does the initial priming. It should be noticeable but not loud unless your garage is amplifying the sound or something.
