Thinking of swapping in this grill but not changing the cerium gray bumper trip (or the mirrors or side vents). I'm pretty sure there are plenty of M550s with all black grills with cerium accents from factory.

Overall thoughts on the grill and leaving the trip be? I have a CF CS Spoiler.

IMO if you're going black, stick with the single slat. The double slat looks good when active grille is open, but doesn't line up properly with the active grille slats when closed.

It's not you. It seems Bimmerpost blocks RW Carbon links. I always forget when I post links to them. Must be some bad blood or conflict with vendors on the payroll already.

Thanks Joe, I was thinkning of doing the same with the surrounds as i have night vision so options are very limited.

Cheaper than any other alternative i can find, and they are carbon rather than gloss black too!

I did. I have the carbon fiber grill and the carbon fiber fender vents on the way. Should be here tomorrow or Friday. I'm still procrastinating on my plan. The first thing I want to see is how does the CF grill look with all the other cerium bits. I'm thinking it may look okay as CF may compliment Cerium Gray? As opposed to a mash up of black gloss and cerium. My CF spoiler looks good, so thinking I'll bookend it with the grill.

If I feel like it looks out of place, I'll put the fender vents on, wrap the bumper trim and then figure out a plan for the mirrors.

What got me going on this was I was at a BMW cars and coffee this weekend and every time I looked back at my car in the row, the grill just looked so big compared to the other BMW's. Thinking this will take the edge off. The other thing that got me going was driving home last night I had a rare sighting of another M550. It was an LCI and had the extended shadow line trim, so all gloss black trim and it looked so much sleeker than mine. Same color.

You know I'll be posting pics for input. I'll start with the grill and post before and after with just a grill swap.

Im in a similar place, i have gloss black along the bottom of the car, but the chrome grill and door handles are the only shiny bits.

I have the same CS Spolier in carbon to fit on and will look to get the chrome grills hidden with these grille surrounds at the same time.
