M550i wrap

Got tired of white, so got the M550i wrapped in a matte/satin blue with black and carbon fiber trim. Turned out pretty great!

Wow crazy color! Looks awesome! I've been toying with wrapping and color options. That color pops big time.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was that? I've been quoted from $1500-4500 from different shops and I'm not educated on how good or bad a wrap job could be

I wanted to do the xpel stealth self healing wrap on my M550 and the cheapest I was quoted was $6800. Insane!

Thanks Andy, the wrap itself was about $3000. Once I added a few other trim details and extras I was at $4000. But they did flawless work and knew what they were doing.

Wow, that's crazy! This shop was a little on the high side but they do the best job in town (Houston). I wrapped our other vehicle about three years ago and it was $2500, I've never heard anyone charging $6800 or more.

I live in NH and there aren't a lot of skilled wrappers so they charge a premium. Supposedly the wrap I wanted was 2K just in material cost. Btw your car looks amazing! 👍🏻

That's really cool! Is it difficult to keep clean?

Thanks. No, it actually stays cleaner and doesn't show water spots and dirt as bad.

Looks great
Curious - did you have the trim wrapped in black or parts replaced?

I am thinking of just wrapping my roof and the trim parts - any concerns
Never wrapped a car - looking for advice

Yeah, it's not as bright in person. The pics make it look really bright.

Any concerns having this done in the winter?

What about car wash or any other advice or concerns to be aware of?
Thanks

No, no concerns. I also have a jeep wrangler which I wrapped about three years ago and haven't had any issues.

Was it hard for them to wrap the roof rail? I called a place and they said they don't wrap the roof rail. I think it looks best when that is black as well as your car has it.

Hey TexasM550i - I've noticed your M logo on the front grill. Can you let me know which one you installed and where did you purchase that from?
