Quaife rear diff for M550i
Just wanted to give you all a heads up that there are lsd or atb diff options for the g30 m550i . Got mine from Birds Auto in uk and paid 2000 eur for the pumpkin with diff fitted. Filled up with 75w140 oil and it needed about 1.2liters.
Snow and wet season is starting and I can definitely feel it. Not a man of many words description wise but I’ll do my best to answer questions. Also changed transmission oil to Amsoil and it seems to shift smoother. |

Thank you for the heads up. I've been searching a long time for a mechanical lsd. For a while, the car's handling grip seemed maxed out with just coilovers and way wider front tires but this lsd should improve the car even more than either of those upgrades. I'm also glad that it came from a reliable company like quaife!

I’m pretty sure this car will always max out on the street and will never be enough for very spirited sustained strest driving or track driving.
It just doesn’t cool well enough and you will always feel that. If you try to improve all the issues present, you end up better off with an M5. |

Just curious, for stock comparison, are you guys referring to standard diff on M550i, or the Active M Diff that comes with the dynamic handling package? As far as I understand the active M diff is the same as ones that come on some M cars
