Apple Carplay.... Suddenly Disappeared!

Hi all,

I have a 2018 BMW 530i (G30) and my car equipped with Apple Carplay from the factory (6AP).

Suddenly apple Carplay disappeared.. I haven't performed any update my self (unless the car did the update online)...

After that, I did the update via USB and I still can't see the Apple Carplay...

Is this a known issue?? If so, can anyone please guide me to the solution?

Thanks in advanced!

It's an absolutely joke that BMW charges for carplay. Ended up buying the carplay coding file on eBay for £40.

has happened to me, you probably input something wrong in the mobile app or the webpage and your car is registered in the wrong country. i had this and after re-install the app and webpage (registred my car in the right country i had it again. seems that purchases are not valid from country to country. hope it helps

I have a 2019 x5. My apple car play kept on disappearing. They said I need to connect to bluetooth and wifi for carplay to work. This is unlike any other car I have used. Sure enough it worked and carplay popped back up. However because i don't have the internet subscription in my car my phone gets no updates from the outside world and can't access the internet. No music nothing. BMW Genius support and dealership are stumped. Sounds like BMW needs to work their bugs out and fast. My 2019 Cadillac works fine with just bluetooth.

That's a strange one. My phone works just fine and delivers notifications all the while connected to CarPlay.

Wireless CarPlay requires both Bluetooth and WiFi. BT is needed for the initial handshake.
