Stolen keys....
Last Friday, my wife and I were having a meal at a restaurant with my family and at the end, we realised her bag had been stolen.
Aside from the 450eur in cash, the cost of the designer handbag and purse, they also took our car keys. (I regretfully asked my wife to hold onto it in her bag for the meal). Even more annoyingly, since the theft wasn't "violent" (as the insurance company puts it), they have classed it as negligence and won't cover the replacement cost of the keys or the barrels in our cars. Before we throw up at the costs from BMW, can anyone give a rough idea as to what it might cost us? My car is an M Sport G30 (metal M-Sport keyfob), plus the replacement of the barrel in the door, and my wifes' is an F46 218d with both standard keyfob and replacement barrel. They'll have to de-program the old keys so that's more costs on top of that, so I'm wondering what else BMW will charge us for. Gutted.

Sorry this happened to you but regardless of the cost, what's the insurance company going to say if you do not get the car key code changed? Negligence?
