Smile 20" Tyre setting

What would be the potential issue if i change my 20" wheel with tyre setting 245/40/20 (front) 275/35/20 (rear) instead of the OEM setting 245/35/20 (front) 275/30/20 (rear)? i.e. incorrect speedometer reading when driving? inaccurate traction control?, not safe? etc.....

The reason i want such specific is becos the OEM 20" setup make the wheel look small in 528i (without drop). Thats why i want the rubber feel with 20" and yet more comfort ride..

Your ideas/ comments ?

You'll change the speedometer reading a bit, and putting larger (taller) tires on, is like gearing up the car, so the acceleration will suffer a bit.

I think this might cause a few dashboard errors warnings.

Unfortunately I had to temporarily change my30 profile rear tyres to 40 profile (See my last post for the full story) and the car did not like this at all.

It destroyed the stability of the car and the following warnings popped up on the dash plus a few others I fail to recall:

Airbag malfunction
Traction control failure
Transmission failure
Passenger restraint system
Pedestrian protection system
ABS failure.

I think this is bacause of the diffence in tyre radius between front and rear, so you **may** be ok, but it could be an expensive mistake.

thanks Remmib, Bongo77 and RR80, i will consider to stick with OEM setting despite whether i choose 19" or 20".
