Hey, can anyone suggestion a decent backbox/muffler for a 540i which meets the following requirements, even if it's made for another car as long as it meets it and has the ability to fit with minimum re-fabbing:

• keeps stock exit tips
• affordable (not these stupid £1000+ just for a backbox)
• has flap which basically allows straight through

There is limited off the shelf options unfortunately, Mperformance, Remus, Ac Schnitzer or Dinan pretty much, none of them would i call affordable.

Your best bet is a local exhaust shop, seeing as you are in northern Ireland you could try Bishops Exhausts in Dundalk if they are near your direction

PCW exhausts may be an option if you ever go over to mainland UK... Junebug85 had one on his for a while, its just modifying the internals of the existing box.
