HDMI Input on G30
Hi,
Was wondering if there is a way to get an HDMI input to connect to the NBT iDrive screen? I would like the flexibility to be able to connect Chromecast or some other android Box. Thanks |

I found that the wifi screen mirroring actually works quite well (and is synced with Bluetooth audio for videos, etc). What are you trying to accomplish that doesn't work via that method?

Streaming to my RSE in my G30.
I have the Chromecast hooked up with my iPhone and it works great. I'm able to mirror/stream Netflix, Youtube, etc., to my RSE. I was initially bummed when I read that only Android's could stream, but was happy to find this work around.
- I purchased the WIFI through my cell phone service provider - AT&T. - Connected the Chromecast to my RSE's HDMI input and the USB input for power. - Connected my iPhone to the Chromecast and can now stream/mirror like a champ. |

As far as I know, there's no option to display hdmi on the front.
On another unrelated note, there's no option to use android screen mirroring both on the front and the rear at the same time. The only option that can be displayed in both front and the rear at the same time is the TV function. |

Would you mind telling me where the heck is the HDMI port located? I searched for it all over the car and couldn't find. LoL. Thx. |

Which device do you plan to connect? I use android phone and go via screen mirroring and it works pretty well.
Not sure you can connect chromecast unless you have paid car wifi. |

I live in Brazil and bmw sold the car in only one configuration for our market, I don't think they offered wifi here. I checked the vin and didn't find it. Im considering buying a 4g mobile modem to connect the Chromecast, only iphones at home. 🤦*♂️

I was wondering can you connect iphone via hdmi and cast screen in that way. If you have apple carplay than you have all necessary hardware for wifi.

Anyone have any ideas of what an aftermarket solution would look like? I have rse, would ideally like to display from a chrome cast on all screens. It looks like somehow routing the hdmi through something like this video interface adapter would be the way:
