Tyre pressure info in iDrive

Something strange happened today.
I had a warning message pop up on iDrive to tell me to check my tyre pressures.
They were all 0.2 bar too low as the recommended pressure was 2.6bar. (1st photo)

I pumped them up, and then checked the iDrive settings again. You can see from the time in iDrive that it was only a few minutes later, but the 'recommended' pressure for the rear tyres had changed to 2.5 bar! (2nd photo).

Has anyone else seen this, or understand what's going on?

Yes it's based upon the temperatures of the tyres (which idrive is not displaying)
So as the temperature rises the recommended pressure rises to compensate.

As tyre pressures are really meant to be checked when cold if they are checked once the tyres have warmed up they will show a higher pressure and if you don't compensate for that, they will be under inflated (they will decrease as they cool down) so the idrive takes this into account. Next you go on a long journey you can see them increase over time to some extent.

I check my tyres most times I am in the car this way and in particular if the temperature has dropped dramatically that is a cue that they probably need a bit more air.

Hope that makes sense
