Coding out annoying horn honk

Hi, can someone please share info if this is even possible. On my F10 550i I was able to lock the car from outside with the engine running and it didn't make any sound. My G30 M550i does the most annoying thing. If honks the Horn twice when locking it with engine running.

I understand the purpose of this as there are probably many people that leave their car running on accident when locking.

Is there any way of coding this out of my car? If so, is there a way to do it with the bimmercode app?

Thanks in advance!

you can turn the setting off in the vehicle settings unless its specific to when the car is still running.

I am not referring to the beep sound it makes when locking the car.

I'm talking about the very loud double honk when you lock it with the engine running.

It is now codeable in Bimmercode, but requires the more expensive OBDLink OBD Adapter.

Two posts up or go to the Bimmercode site and see for yourself.

I just ordered the UniCarScan adapter from this company in the UK. I had a hard time finding a reseller in the US, but I ordered this product over the weekend and it shipped out the next day. I should have it sometime next week. This is the one that supports all of the features in the app (so far):

For bimmercode, maybe. I have never used so I cannot say for sure.

With E-sys, it costs $13.

Or $5 if you know how to solder and have some ethernet cable laying around.

Correct. I have seen adapters for $2-3 if you can wait on China Post shipping.

So I ordered my UniCarScan adapter last Friday (which shipped on Monday) from this place in the U.K. and it's already out for delivery today! All in it was $74.70 with shipping. I can't believe it got here so fast. Kudos to the reseller.
