If the passenger door opens first, and then I open my door, the radio stays on until I lock it.

If I open my door first, radio turns off along with all the screens.

Guys, i gave you the solution in a previous post
It depends on where the keyfob is stored while you're driving. When you turn off engine, take the keyfob then open the door, radio will go off.
100% working. If you drive with key in cupholder for example and leave it there when you open the door, radio will not go off

Sorry for english

Aha. Makes sense.

Cool. I understand now.

So if I keep the key in my pocket all the time, when will the radio go off ? When I open the door ?

At a guess equivalent to cup holder option. Stays on until locked.

In my F10, radio stays on for about 10 minutes even if I exit the car with the key. I do hope that this option is possible in the G30; in my wife's Volvo the radio turns off when the driver door is opened, which is a PITA if I happen to be sitting in the passenger seat while she pops into a shop or something...luckily I'm not often such a passenger!!

Sadly that does not work the same every time... I have tried various scenarios (I have the tick box checked in iDrive to turn off when door opened), but sometimes it stays on, whether the key is in the cupholder or in my pocket... different results

Same here - there appears to be no logic to it.

You could always just configure as desired through IDrive:

The answer is if you just want to turn off the radio/electronics like you could in the F10 by pushing the start button a 2nd time.........................................BMW changed it so now if you push the volume button and hold it in for a few seconds the radio/electronics turn off. Why this change from the start button to the volume button, who knows. Yes you can program turn off in iDrive when opening doors and when you lock the doors it will turn everything off but if you just want to turn the electronics off push the volume button for a few seconds.
