5hrs into roadtrip, ‘Bert’ my M550 suggested I take break, showed me hot cup of Joe and offered suggestions for refreshing my mind.

Hilarious... love the car. It’s got personality for sure.

Anyone find some quirky hidden features... ?!?

I had the same thing happen in my '17 540i on my first drive home from purchasing it. Much better graphics than in my Merc GLK350 that attempted to do something similar.

The "quirkiest" thing I have experienced was the lane departure warning on the test drive. The unexpected vibration made me think I had just driven 4 hours to look at a car with a serious engine or suspension problem.

Cars are too smart these days...

Another Quirky thing...

The shifter has two detents when shifting. While rolling into car wash, I was THAT guy. You know the one that keeps slipping from drive to reverse.

I am NOT a fan of the shifter! It’s just weird coming from ‘13 Dodge Charger.

Another Quirky Nice Feature:

While navigating the other day... I accidentally bumped dial to right(toggle, not rotate), while map was in full screen of iDrive panel. The screen then split and allowed me to select other screen functions from Navigation and other menu screens simultaneously. I chose Media screen. I think you can have points of interest in this second pane for fuel stations etc. very cool.
