2018 M550d Active Grill Shutters

Hello,My active Grill shutters are stuck at half open postion.I got no fault and i didn’t hear my Fan.Can someone help?Thanks

15 year / 150k mile warranty on them in the US. Worth googling for your country.

My experience with the grill shutters on my 540d was when an engine warming appeared indicating an emissions problem. As it turned out, the upper set of shutters was damaged when my wife struck a bollard while parking. Although there was no visible damage to the car's plastic front, the impact was just enough to break one of the shutters causing the others to stop working. This resulted in an unexpected $1600 repair as the BMW extended warranty does not apply if damaged.

That’s unfortunate but reasonable in terms of it not being covered. I bet a good service advisor could have helped you out though if the damage was as minor as you described. There’s so many warranty replacements of these I bet BMW corporate doesn’t even ask for the part to be sent in.
