2018 g30 steering wheel leather fading and losing grip? REPLACEMENT Advice?
My steering wheel on my 530i 2018 is fading out and losing grip.... is there anyway to change the leather on steering wheel OEM BMW wise without changing whole steering wheel?
I seen on eBay and other sites the stich kit with new cover but doesnt look OEM.... does anyone know where I can get OEM LEATHER STEERING WHEEL REPLACEMENT? |

I can't answer that but have you tried cleaning it?
Is it shined? If so a clean should get it back to the original Matt like finish when new. What mileage is the car? I have 11000 on mine now and a combination of ensuring I have clean hands and cleaning it means it still looks like new still. |

Just out of interest, is that the M Sports steering wheel? I've never had any issues with BMW M Sport steering wheels. I've nearly done 20k miles in my current G30 and steering wheel is as good as new.

Your car is a 2018 so how many miles are on it? I can't imagine a car like this that's less than 2 years old already needing replacement because it's worn out.
Sounds like it was tainted to begin with or a moisturizer you use doesn't mix well with the oil on your hands and the steering wheel.

They won't replace it under warranty. I had the same issue with my F10 and despite escalation they deemed it normal "wear and tear". I'm expecting the same thing to happen with this G30, given that it's basically the same steering wheel.

I replaced a steering wheel on my old e92, it really wasn't that difficult nor expensive. You may just want to see if you can pick one up off of one of the vendors.
