Michelins

--- You can't go wrong with Michelin's. I've had a good run with the Primacy 3's, but I've heard good things about the Pilot Sports ZP. Seems like most people love/hate run flats, but to each their own. I love them. |

Also had a set of the original Good Year F1’s with directional tread on the E34 M5, they were very good, as were the Good Year F1 asy 2 & 3’s had them on the 35i a couple of times when Michelins weren’t available, good tyre I thought but the wear rate was very high, only about 6,000 miles for a set of rears on the 35i.

Only 6k miles!!?? That's terrible! I had Pirelli's come on a BMW I bought about 10 years ago. I never had any issues with them, but I put Michelin's on when those wore out just because I've been a fan of Michelin for so long. I put them on all of my family's vehicles. I don't think I've ever had Good Year's before. My wife's X5 came with Continental's on a staggered set-up and we switched those to Pilot Sport 4 run-flats and she seems to like them. We'll see how long they last, hopefully a while, cause they weren't cheap! |
