07119905147 (4 bolts near the wipers)
51716966566 (4 bolts that go in the strut towers)

I didn't use new bolts, just re-used my exisiting ones. I guess the proper, by the book way is to replace thdk but I spoke to a few others on the forum and they also re-used their bolts.

Torque specs are 56nm for all the bolts, however the ones on the strut towers require a 90 degree turn too.

Magna Plate Kit & Front Bumper Resprayed

Got the car back yesterday, after being in the bodyshop for a few days... I fitted a Magna Plate kit to the front bumper. Behind the number plate surround, there were 7 holes that needed to be filled/smoothed off. Thought it was a good time to have the full bumper resprayed to remove a few big rock/stone chips too. Very pleased with the end result. Splitter is back on, just needs to be secured properly in in the morning.

I had a few quotes from different places but most of them said they would leave all the trims in place and mask it all off without taking off the bumper. Where I had it done (Fix Auto) - they said they would remove the bumper and strip it all down for the prep work etc. I know they did this as I had them replace the driver side lower aero grille for me, as it was damaged (the only way to replace the aero grille is to remove the bumper completely and strip off the rear of it)

To install the magnets behind the bumper, it had to come off which I did a few weeks ago. It wasn't a difficult job, just time consuming with all the clips and screws that have to be removed. Magnets come with 3M tape on them but I also secured them with super glue around the edges and also duct tape on top.

Glad it's all done though and gives a cleaner look for car shows or when taking pictures. Opted for shorter, 400mm x 110mm number plates from Full House Customs.

New Shoe Day - Japan Racing SL01

After selling my (winter/rainy) satin bronze 759i set of wheels, I've spent a lot of time online looking for suitable replacements... but I always came back to these so went for it. 19" Japan Racing SL01, with Continental SportContact 7 tyres in OEM size (245/40/19 and 275/35/19) and some Black TPMS sensors which came pre-programmed. Wheels are 19x8 et26 and 19x9 et35. I did look at getting 8.5 and 9.5 wheels but the lead time on the 8.5 was quite long so scrapped that idea. Hoping I've made the right choice by getting SC7's but time will tell 😄 (I'm a Michelin fan)

The wheel design is similar to the BBS CI-R's, I think the 5 spoke split design works very well on the G30. The whole package was from RimStyle... Everything comes all mounted/balanced with the sensors fitted - ready to go onto the car straight out the box.

These wheels are from their Super Lightweight Series so the fronts are 8.8kg and the rears are 9.1kg. Just need some 12mm spacers for the rear as there's too much poke - this will then make it the same fitment as the rear BBS's as they are 20x9 et38 on a 15mm spacer. I was stuck on colour choice but went with Satin Black in the end. Didn't want to go bronze again but wanted a more stealthy look. Test fitted them and all is good. At first looks, the tyres look meaty... Just need to get the wheels coated in Gtechniq C5 wheel armour and get some replacement black tuner bolts as they sent silver ones 🤦🏽😄

Remus Mid Pipe

Another delivery landed today... Remus Midpipe for my 540ix. This was the last piece of the puzzle I've been waiting on (a while I'm under their modification for sure &#128579 - I can now get on and have the F90 ARBs, Braces and other suspension bits fitted. It's taken around 3 months for this midpipe to be delivered. It was from POTN who I previously got the Remus Axelback from.

I was tempted to get a catback system in the first instance but wanted to see how the oem midpipe and Remus Axelback would perform... I think theres more sound to be had hence this purchase.

My current midpipe is an oem one with the Resonator modified by PCW Exhausts. Looking forward to seeing what this new one does in terms of noise level and tone. The Remus pipe is 2x60mm pipes into one 84mm pipe before it goes into the backbox.

Went through what I've got/bought over the last few months - when layed out it's quite a lot! 🫣🙂 Excited and looking forward to these changes to see what they all do in terms of improvements... well I hope there's improvements! 😄

Booked in with my local specialist to have it all done next month. It will be a lot easier and quicker to do once the car is on a lift.

I'll be sure to get some updated photos and sound clips, along with my feedback post installation and first drive

Japan Racing SL01

Wheels now fitted onto the car...

It will take some used to getting used to the chunkier side wall... 20" wheels still look better obviously. Initial impressions are good after after a 60 mile round trip. Drives better compared to 20" wheels with non run flats and you also feel a lot less of the road imperfections.

I haven't pushed the car in the bends or at high speed. Need to scrub the new tyres in before I do some proper testing... interested to see how the SC7's handle in the bends compared to the PS4S's that I've had for a while

Love the split 5-spoke wheels and meatier tires. Seems to give off an old-school-power vibe, especially with mild concaved rears. Are you using spacers in these pics?

I take it your winters are mild enough to keep summer tires through the winter season.

Yeah I think this style definitely suits the G30. I wanted something similar to the BBS wheels, soon as I saw these - my mind was made up

Yes, 10mm front and 12mm rear. I was intially looking at 8.5J and 9.5J (so I wouldn't need to use spacers) but I was struggling to find the rears in stock so gave up on that idea.

We have had our fair share of bad winters (nothing still like over there) but on an xdrive car, I think yiu can get away with summer tyres during these colder months. The idea of these is to also double up as a backup set. Call me paranoid but since switching to non run flat tyres, I'm doing everything to keep me mobile.

Just my 2 cents, but for as nicely modified as this car is those new wheels don't do it justice. Maybe its the fact they look like every other aftermarket rep wheel here in the NA market, I don't know but I feel it needs more pop.

I appreciate your opinion and I get what you're saying. I did look at getting a set of 19" BBS CI-R's in Satin Black (I liked the idea of having the same wheels as my other set) but with the way prices are, I quickly ruled that out and moved on.

It was the lightweight factor that swung my decision on these wheels. There are a few different aftermarket brands as you mentioned, that do this split 5 spoke design - I have to agree that they do all look very identical.

Talked about this long enough... tomorrow is the day everything gets fitted to the car. Looked back at the invoices and it was July when I started buying all the bits. Remus Mid Pipe on backorder was the biggest hold up (11 weeks).

The Front F90 Bulkhead Brace has been a bit lonely as that's the only part I fitted. Hopefully the rest will be a nice pairing and provide a positive result and improvement to the car... (we'll find out soon enough &#128514
