Replace Parking Sensor Gasket

So I was washing the car recently and the gasket around the parking sensor on the front bumper came loose and fell out. Because of how it's designed I was unable to just simply push it back into place from the front. I brought it in when I did my 10K service and unfortunately the tech couldn't do it either from the front and the SA they would need to remove the entire front bumper cover to put it back in place. Of course this was quoted for about 2 hours of labor and ~$500 (for a 27 cent part) and is not covered under warranty. I kindly passed on this and said I'd do it myself.

Can anyone link a manual or spec guide to removing the front bumper cover? I am capable of figuring it out myself but due to time constraints I'm trying to expedite the process.

TIA!

Why wasn’t it covered under warranty? I’d push for them to do it under the warranty as they should be doing. A call to BMWNA might help prod them along.

I created an account just to give you my .02 cents. I had the exact same problem with a rear parking sensor at ONLY 4k miles. It took 3 dealerships, but I found one that would submit it under warranty.

Don't give up OP. If there are no evidence that it has been bumped, pushed, or forced in like scratches and dents, then this is a quality issue with the adhesive from the factory that needs to be addressed through warranty.
