Hard-drive sound
I've had this car for a few months now (actually 7, but only a couple thousand miles) and finally got around to asking this. Is it normal to hear a hard-drive type sound when getting in? Like the HD is resetting. Our F10's don't/didn't make that sound. It's not the VANOS resetting, that's a different sound.

You do have a HDD for the iDrive system, but I’ve never heard it. So I assume you’re talking about a different sound. You can hear various motors moving things into place such as the active shutters and steering wheel adjustments when you get in though. |

As long as it's normal I'm not concerned, just curious. |
