WOULD

Buy one. Please sell me one with Msport.

Can anybody really be buying the FUGLY GT instead of these?

Makes no sense.

Now, the wife has an X540e. If there was a G31 (especially a PHEV), I'd buy it for sure.
I bet BMW NA is wishing there were more of you, but I think you were in the minority. My wife (an American) would rather walk than be seen in a "station wagon".

Thats funny, my girlfriend says you don't drive a wagon you drive a BMW. She was busting my chops because someone asked what I was driving now and I said a black wagon (I am known for rotating through the cars pretty quickly). Usually ends the conversation when I say that cause I could care less what people think of what I drive.

Would I rather have a 340i wagon with a stick yes. Would I rather have a 550 xdrive wagon - duh.

But BMW won't sell me one. How does MB make a case for the E63 wagon but BMW can't for the 550 wagon or M5 for that matter?

Unfortunately I think my next car is going to be an E63 wagon unless I sell out completely and get an X5M.

In North America for example you have the 3er Touring being outsold by the X3. A relatively new model against an almost 7 year old SAV.

The upcoming X3 will feature a similar level of finesse as demonstrated by the 5er and 7er models. And will be up-to-date with the latest technology as well as some new features and advancements. Following that in 2018 will be an all new X5 model that will have an even greater sales advantage.
I guess that the fact of the X3 being 15% cheaper must have nothing to do with this.... So a car that came for MY2011 is so much older that a car that came for MY2014 but based on a MY2012 redesign. Lack of 6cyl engine, lack of manual transmission, no publicity and no rebate. All factors that must have help the F31 to sell so good

Mercedes is much more proactive to their customers. They just released the E63S Estate: http://gtspirit.com/2017/02/02/offic...e-63-s-estate/

Maybe they know how to market and sell them better than BMW??

The 3-series Touring should be done with soon as well, if I recall correctly. At that point, there will be no Tourings left to be purchased through BMW. Alternatives are the A4 allroad and the E-class.

Yes that's right but what's wrong is BMW attitude with the touring. They never help it in the marketing department and now they complain that the sales are not good enough.

Looks like it's more towards comfort than sportseats, like the one you'll find in the F15. Have er seen the G30 with the top of the line Comfort seats yet?

Looking at the configurator, the sport seats has larger side bolsters than the comfort seats. And I believe the side bolster are adjustable now (wasn't on the F10), so that's great.

Yes, I've seen the g30 with comfort seats.

We do like our 'wagons' over here.

BMW NA, but they must assuredly answer to BMW Helga Corporate back in Bavaria

Mercedes-Benz interior is hideous. Otherwise I would shop for one.
BMW lost another long time customer here also. Not that they need me.

And there is also Volvo as well. Clearly most of the other luxury manufacturers see the US MARKET differently than BMW.

Wish that made it to the US. Perhaps they should drop those ugly GT's and send this instead.
