Update: Michelin PS3ZPs now on in stock sizes of 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. Initial impression is much improved ride. Time will tell, but Discount Tire had nothing but good to say about Michelin runflats in general, and nothing to say about the Goodyears (they were very diplomatic, but facial expressions said it all). Interestingly, they did say to be careful about putting taller tires on in the future, because they tried it on an X6 and got nothing but drivetrain error codes. Food for thought. Anyway, I'll post my impressions of the Michelins after I put some miles on them.

Nothing conclusive yet, but my first impressions of the tire are all positive. Not harsh, quiet, very good ride. I need more time to compare to the PZeros however my PZeros are half worn so I'm not sure it's a valid comparison. I'm just thrilled the car didnt have the Goodyear F1 Asy 3 on it.

Put about 75 miles on the car today, over roads with which I am very familiar, including several construction areas. Definitely smoother, and more stable with the pavement transitions in the construction areas. Like what I am experiencing so far. Will keep you posted.

7 months in and developed bubble in side wall. Only minor road defects. No pot holes hit. Live in Vegas and our roads are pretty well cared for.
Got these prices off tire rack. Anyone found better pricing? |

Typically Tire Rack is competitive. Call around. Check Discount Tire. The PS3ZP is new to the US. No surprise Michelin is charging a premium at this time. But I can tell you first hand, it's a very good tire. The ride so far is incredible. My Michelin equipped 2019 with 704 suspension feels less jarring than my Pirelli equipped 2017 with standard suspension. Same 20" wheels on both. Only 150 miles in on my 2019, but these Michelins feel like a new generation of run flat tire was born. I hope they age well... And I have a set of Goodyear F1 in my garage to put back on the 2017 for lease return.

Discount Tire in SA matched the prices on TireRack. I have about 1000 miles on the PS3ZPs so far. Head and shoulders above the Goodyear F1s, which are POS in my opinion. I popped two sidewalls in 16K miles. The Michelins are smoother, quieter, better grip, less drifting over pavement transitions in construction zones. Can't believe BMW provided the Goodyears on my new car. Have always trusted Michelin, seems to be another good decision. Time will tell.

I paid my BMW dealer $341.18 for the fronts and $375.29 for the rears several months ago.

Another update: 1600 miles now on the PS3ZPs, just traveled again from SA to DFW and back, with a lot of driving in between. Love the Michelin PS3ZPs. Smooth and quiet. Very grippy. Have hit several potholes in construction areas in both cities, and along I35 on the way and back with no consequences. Very similar feel and performance to the PS4S that I had on my M4. Head and shoulders above the Goodyears so far. Will continue to evaluate.
