Car has 30k miles on it. I bought it used with 22k on it. Front tires DOT says they were made on the 24 week of 2017 so I'm guessing these are the original tires. But they have a ton of tread left on them for 30k miles I think. What do you all think.
My question is should I replace both front tires together since they are the same age.
Then the question becomes what tire do you all recommend. I live in South East Virginia pretty mild winters with occasional 1-2 inches of snow. I daily drive this so I really wanted an all season tire but they don't exist in run-flats. I was against runflats as they are noisy however after last night I was able to limp home on them with zero pressure so they saved me a tow.
I really wanted to go with the Michelin pilot as 3+ all season tires but wanted to hear from you all. Looking for recommendations or advise.

Pirelli PZero run flat or Michelin Pilot Sport 3ZP. The Goodyear is crap, as you see by the casing failure.

For your sanity and safety get the Goodyears off your car.

Very pleased with the switch to the Michelin PS3ZP's. Dramatic difference from the Good Years.

Flintstone tires would be a dramatic improvement over the Goodyears, but yes the Michelin PS3ZP is excellent. I have them on my 2019 540i.

I'm going with non-run flats now that i know how good our BMW roadside assist is. While southeastern VA does have mild winters there are time when i have to drive in below freezing temps and those summer only tires just wont cut it or I'm not going to take the risk. Not enough snow to justify winter set of tires like you northern folk use. So seems like a good compromise.

Non runflats are clearly superior in my opinion but I wouldn't rely solely on BMW assist as they will only tow you to a BMW dealer and not a tire shop. As a result, I have towing/roadside assistance as part of my insurance too. Just a thought...

Another vote for the Michelin PS3ZP. Love them so far. Had two different failures with the Goodyear F1s, couldn't wait to get rid of them.

for my 540 (18") wheels the PS3ZP were not available in the proper size, so I went with the "go-flat" PS A/S 3+. Night and day difference from the OEM runflat Cinturatos, but I haven't tried them in snow yet (I'm also in Virginia). My BMW dealer price-matched Tire Rack as well.
