UWA Lens Advice

I want to pick up an UWA Lens for my Canon XSI. It will be my 1st expensive lens. I currently have the two kit lens (18-55 IS & 55-250IS) and have the 50 1.8.

I am having a hard time deciding between the Canon 10-22 and the Sigma 10-20.

Is the Canon worth the extra money? Or should I go with the Sigma and also pick up a Canon 430 EX II flash?

Going to be using this lens for automotive, landscapes, and home interiors.

Go with the Sigma 10-20mm! I have this lens and absolutely love it. No need to spend extra $ on the Canon lens when you can get the same thing from Sigma for a lot less.

Will the Sigma be OK for inside shots handheld or will it require a tripod if the lighting gets dim?

I've taken some pretty good shots indoors with the flash off, not a problem at all. I would definitely invest in a tripod though regardless.

I've never used the Sigma 10-20, but I love my Canon 10-22. I almost never use flash and hand hold 99% of all my shots. All but 3 of my pix that I've posted here, which were using a nifty fifty, are with the 10-22. If you go to my flickr, check out the more recent city and auto show sets. With the exception of the 2009 Z4 interior and Bumblebee (transformer) pix, they're all with the 10-22.

Tokina 11-16 2.8 hands down. Go read comparison between the Tokina and any of the other ultra wides and you'll see why.
