After trying to find some arch guards online/speaking to various companies and not getting anywhere, It was time to go DIY and make some myself. Not bad for a first attempt... I did think about getting some for a different model and making some modifications but it turned out more cost effective to start from scratch.

BMW mudflaps were an option but I don't like the way they sit and look on the side of the car. I wanted something a little more discreet.

I was able to utilise and secure them using the OEM clip and bolt holes too! Safe to say they were doing the job after the first drive out. Normally that muck/dirt would of been all down the side sill.

Looks cool, definitely the business. Also funny that because recently my dad got me to order some arch guards for the X3 in gloss black. I’ll show you pics once it’s installed on them.

The oem ones wouldnt have fit due to the side skirt extentions and splitters you have.
i know because i had to take mine off, and they are just sitting in the shed collecting dust.

if you want to borrow them to make up a template for your rears, let me know.

Yeah, although I have seen someone fit them but had to modify them slightly. The look of them is off putting for me

Ah nice one, mate. Thanks for the offer. Will let you know if I need them. I kind of have it mocked up, just working out the screw length and need some kind of screw spacer. Trying to get it to work with the 2 arch liner screws.

what material are working with? i've just managed to source some that look a lot like what you've made up, but in Carbon Fibre. front set only though...

ABS Plastic.

Automotive Passion sell arch guards... Gloss Black and Carbon ones too, but not for the G30. I was intially going to order the G80 ones and then modify them. They have the fronts in stock but the rears are on backorder. Me being impatient, decided to make some. Also worked out more cost effective. Would of been nice to have the gloss black ones though.

You can buy molded fitted ones on eBay or Amazon for all four...not too expensive.

I have seen them, I didn't really like the way the rubber shows on the side of the car. With the side spliiter extensions and rear side splitters, some form of modification to rhem would also be required to fit them.

In my opinion, they look to bulky especially on lighter coloured car. Doesn't look too bad on dark colours.

Nice wheels by the way! What size are they?

Rear Arch Guards

Finally got round to making the rear arch guards.

The front ones have been working well at minimising the dirt and grime that gets thrown at the sides of the car.

I was able to secure these in the 2 arch liner mounting points each side, with longer screws and some screw spacers.

From a side profile, I like how discreet these are compared to conventional mudflaps.
