M stripe isnt any worse than a double slatted grille on a non M car. If it makes you happy, do it. When you're over it, take it off.

i must admit, i didn't know about the grill stripes not being a standard from the factory option...it looks that understated (to me, anyway since it's not screaming 'M x')

also surprised that BMW hasn't jumped on that bandwagon (they've whored the M logo out in every other way...the number of M badge references in an M car makes me shake my head...but as i mentioned in another thread, i'm old and grumbly)

If you thought these were bad go check out the LED version of the M tricolor grill you can pick up on AliX. Don't think it's available for G30 so don't get too excited.

....or the new light up grills. They're even worse than the tri-stripe grills IMHO.

Yes they are, 1000x worse, not even in the same conversation. M Stripes are not a BMW thing/option, so your analogy is suggesting that M Stripe Grills is somehow posing as an M5? Double slat grills are actually an OEM part.

The colored inserts are fine. But first you have to put a 5 foot Wing on the back, and a Fast n Furious 21 Speed transmission.
