no tips in stock, you can either get your own or pre-order the tips from us.

Has anyone installed the Remus exhaust along with the OEM M Sport rear diffuser??

Wondering how Remus would look on this diffuser? Or if OEM just looks cleaner becuase the lines / cutouts fit perfectly?

Does anyone out there know of a reputable/competent shop in the Denver metro area that can install a Remus catback exhaust?

I have an aftermarket rear diffuser that looks exactly like that one. It’s full gloss black and I have titanium carbon fiber tips on my catback.

I like this style as there’s a nice clean line under the tips, hugging them if you will, rounding off the rear nicely imho.

That looks great! Are you also running wheel spacers?

Remus is an excellent exhaust. It is not valvetronic though, it will work with your stock valves controlled by your mode of driving.
Does anyone know if this cat-back system (or any cat-back system) will still pass US emissions? Does it matter whether it’s homologates or not?

For the money Remus all day. With that said, I’ve never heard FI live so I can’t comment sound performance, but based on sound clips it’s more aggressive.

The Remus cat back (w racing tube) is like $4k with CF tips on the sites I’ve found it available at. The deal for the FI would be slightly more than that for cat back system + CF tips + the FI pro OBD2 app/remote control + shipping.

It’s really the insane deal that has me leaning towards FI. Everything I’ve read says it’s mean and aggressive and very well made but the main drawback is that it’s very expensive!

Agreed 100%

If you want it aggressive go for FI don’t even think about it. Remus will sound mean, and it’s not quiet above 4k in Sport, it will crackle and snap hard on shifts, especially if you go stage 1/2. Overrun between 4-6k is mean too but it turns heads when down shifting especially rapid and multi gears. However it is a low growl sound otherwise. FI will be raspy and more race car ish if you will, plus it’s louder.

Absolutely, as long as you don't fuck with the cats, it doesn't matter what comes after those, even a straight pipe resonator muffler delete will pass. It's when you start fucking around with catless or catted aftermarket downpipes is when you will chase codes and jump through hoops every year to pass state inspections. IMO, not worth the hassle.

I just ordered my Remus catback with stainless steel straight cut tips this morning. I’m so freaking excited. My previous car was a catless f10 M5 so when I got my m550i a few weeks ago the quietness of the stock exhaust bugged me. This Remus paired with the CTS intakes I just installed is gonna be heavenly. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a car as much as I’ve enjoyed this m550i. I’m a little disappointed that there is no black tips option. So I’m gonna see if I can take them somewhere to get a black glossy ceramic coat. Do you guys think that’ll be the best option to get my tips black?

I didn’t wanna drop the coin on the carbon titanium ones. I’d rather use that cash towards a nice carbon fiber diffuser.

What color is your car? They might look good as is. You can always get them powder coated too. You will enjoy the car even more once that Remus goes on, first week I had mine I drove around constantly with a smile, my wife at one point thought I need medical and/or psychiatric attention..

My car is 2020 alpine white. So far it just has cts intakes. But I plan on doing a carbon diffuser and m performance pro spoiler. So I think black tips is a must. Can powder coat withstand the heat on the tips? I’ve only ever powder coated wheels. Shitty thing is I’ll lose the Remus logo on them once I coat the tips unless they’re etched on. but that’s ok.

The cts intakes alone has me giddy everytime I drive lol.

Edited to add.. omg now x-ph has the option for black chrome tips and I already ordered and payed for stainless this morning lol. Oh well. The black chrome option wasn’t there when I payed. Black chrome option adds 160 bucks to the total versus stainless. Mike hooked it up with a good price too. I could probly get the tips ceramic coated for under 100. Probably too much of a hassle now to cancel and chose black chrome tips.

His phone goes straight to voicemail and he hasnt signed on since this morning. Its all good.

Ceramic coating the tips black wont cost alot. I was also thinking maybe i go the ULTRA cheap route and just use high heat engine spray paint on the tips lol. A can of high heat primer and high heat engine paint probably would cost under 35 bucks. I wonder how high heat paint would hold up in rainy oregon weather? This car is in the garage when im home..
