Recently I started realizing on stock RF 19s car bogs down after LC, It's barely noticeable but I can feel it. Traction control doesn't light up on the dash, hits 2nd gear and rolls harder but after 3rd it pulls like a different car.
I got better results with DSC fully off and brake boosting to 2.8k, launching off brake. (Can't sit on it for top long, it bogs down) hit 2.8k n go. Car is definitely boost by gear. Even my HP max shows it launching around 560-580hp, after 3rd gear it maxes out 640hp chart. |

The launch control thing has been discussed a good bit on forums and specifically the M5 board recently. It's something across models and not specific to the 5 series. Launch control will never go away but eventually (apparently after 100 launches) the quick shift pattern it uses will cease. I think that effectively maps well to the "reduced intensity" note.

There's no way this thing shouldn't achieve sub 4 even in all seasons. And interesting C+D had the same experience. I'd defo get a dyno run in, and get them to do the low gears as well. The good news is if it is a software issue, it's easily fixable with an updated istep. As you've just had the head unit replaced, I would imagine you are on 21/03, so it's going to July at the earliest realistically for a fix |

The 120 trap speed in the C&D test indicates its putting out the horsepower once it gets rolling. Something is holding it back at the launch.

Likely pulling timing or limiting boost down low from launch. Most likely ecu software issue. This car rips when you floor it from a roll. Sucks that the dme is locked right now as I bet a tune would easily work out the issues. I will be following this thread. I only have 1,600 miles on my 2021 550, but I got a dragy and I am on performance tires in texas. So, I'll have to find a road by my house and try launch control soon.

So how accurate is that little thingy that people use here? After reading this article I have some concerns regarding run times.
Do inexpensive performance meters work?/ |

I have been curious about thinks like the newer race box that looked like a knockoff VBox system. But based on reviews and how basically everyone uses a Dragy, I ended up putting my $100 there. |

Dodge advertises Challenger Scat pack as 4.2 secs 0 to 60. Using dragy i clocked it at 4.2s. (The built in timer showed the same, best time was 3.8 secs at the drag strip.) My friends S8 Plus is advertised as 3.3s, I clocked it using Dragy at 3.4s. (The best time was 3.2 secs!) Now for my M550 its advertised as 3.6s, I clocked it at 4.2 secs and the best at 4.1 secs. I'd say dragy is pretty damn accurate! |

of X5/X6/X7/850 and none have issues. I'm at loss, seriously. Good luck to owners - I would be very pissed if my 18 M550 was doing 0-60 in 4.5s. |

My car has 1600miles on it and for the life of me could not get launch control on it tonight, for the first time. DSC Off, sports +, gear lever in manual/sports, mash the brake and then the throttle to floor. Revs climb to 3k and no launch control appears. I tried multiple times and even DTC off with no luck. Ieven did a dragy run on brake boost fine, just not able to engage launch control. I wonder if 2k miles is the trigger though the other thread says combined wisdom indicates that there is no run in period before it activates.
Very odd. |
