Dynamic handling package
Of the G30s I have seen on this forum, I have not seen anyone getting the DHP so far. Do you think DHP is overkill and how do you guys find the handling with standard suspension and sport static suspension?

Can you remind us what's in the dhp? In the uk we don't have the package - just the various options I think.

Here is the description:
EDIT: Wow - just noticed that the description is the same for both features... I don't know how the company that manages the BMW configurator Website has not been fired yet. If they are doing it with internal IT, then I understand and maybe they need to call my company... |

This would be the next box checked for me, right after Nappa & Multicontour seats

I think it's worth it but it may be expensive to fix it once it's broken .It's good think that it can be ordered as a standalone option so you don't have to order M Package to get it

Considering DHP as well for an M550xi
I'm wondering if it a question of DHP improving Ride Quality/Handling from a 7 to a 10? or is the improvement more like a 3 without DHP and a 10 with DHP? Where on the scale 1 is crappy and 10 is really good. Trying to justify the price since it is currently a $3600* add on! *My first BMW purchase, a second-hand 1995 318i, was a little over that price. And that 318i had the best handling and ride quality I've ever experienced in a BMW and I've owned quite a few since then When you read the definition of what DHP does you would think DHP would already be included in the standard built of any 5 series! Rather the two main characteristics OF a sports sedan, handling and ride quality, seem to be packaged as an exotic option....on a BMW sports sedan?! Am I crazy!!!? Quote:

I have DHP on my 540i. I've never driven one without it so I can't do a comparison, but will say the ride is very very smooth when driving in a sedate manner, and ridiculously solid and stable when cornering hard. |

I skipped it and do not miss it. The car is smooth and never harsh.

The M adaptive suspension on the M550i is what I would want from DHP/adaptive drive - comfortable but sporty.
On the other models, it is a softer suspension than standard M Sport suspension, even in the sportiest mode, and softens the handling too much. On those cars, get DHP/adaptive drive if you favour comfort, but standard M sport if you favour sportier handling. I found std M Sport on the G30 to be comfortable enough for my tastes so I did not see the benefit in sacrificing some of the sportier handling for even more comfort. YMMV |

I have it and would definitely recommend it. The car handles fantastically and you don't lose any refinement. It feels so flat and stable when cornering it really does shrink around you and defies the cars bulk.
