iDrive vehicle settings for Time/Date. Don't have the exact path as I am not in my car, but you could also search in your digital owner's manual for the time settings.

There are 2 iOS apps that are useful and car specific, BMW Genius & BMW Drivers Guide.

Back to analog clocks. I actually have 2 analog clocks, one on the console. I have the Full Digital console so I don't know if that makes a difference. It might.

A second option that I can have is display on the split screen of the IDrive screen. Try the second option if your console doesn't support the first.

My car didn’t have the analog clock option either until it went in for a recall where they updated the software. Maybe that’s all you need?

I have downloaded the BMW Genius app - where do I add the VIN #? When I choose model specific it only has 2019 models.

Download the Drivers guide app. That is specific to your exact car.

My Vehicle > iDrive settings > Displays > Instrument cluster > Time

I got the clock face to display on my 2019 540xi by splitting the nav screen and then selecting the clock display from the list of items that can be displayed on the right side. Simple. Hadn't noticed it was there until I was looking around for other things.--Bob

OP was talking about the analog clock being displayed in the instrument cluster which he can't do because from what he said, it sounds like he doesn't have the full digital dash.

Assuming you have the full digital instrument cluster, having read these forums since the g30 came out I think this is down to what software levels you have potentially. Mine a uk from 2017 has the digital clock only and no option to change it within the idrive but have sen pictures of people with the analogue version.

I had the full digital clock but lost it when I had the car coded to the Alpina display.

Thanks, I didn't read his post correctly. But if one wants an analog clock display one way or another, setting it up in the split screen is a simple way to go....Bob
